Bronzy Eye Make-up Look with Eylure Naturalites Super Full 070 Lashes!

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Busy Signal; Topshop Lip Cream in Daze
Estee Lauder Quick-Thick Eyeliner in 01 Pinker Black; Eylure Naturalites Super Full 070 Lashes

A gal needs her lashes! These Eylure Naturalites Super Full 070 lashes are really cute and great for a lash-beginner as well, they are super easy to apply because of the thin strip... The thinner and finer the eyelash strip is the easier they are to apply... These are also lightweight and once I put them on I don't feel them... Super Full 070 are not too long or too extreme, they are great for adding extra fullness and keeping the look quite natural, they have a mix of brown and black lashes to make the look even softer... The only thing is I am allergic to the Eylure adhesive lash glue which is included... It can happen, so don't get put off by wearing fake lashes in general... In case you ever feel any type of discomfort when putting on any type of lashes such as burning take them off immediately and remove all of the glue traces, the  next time just use the glue that you are ok with...

For the eye make up, I'm wearing the Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Busy Signal, which is a bronzy warm shade with MAC Eyeshadow in Texture all over and a bit of Mulch just in the crease... Estee Lauder Quick-Thick Eyeliner in Punker Black, great eyeliner for when you are in a rush and want an easy and intense black eyeline... This eyelook I have been wearing a lot in the past week actually... And on the lips I went for the Topshop Lip Cream in Daze, a pretty lilac pink with a bit of sheen... It's actually the first time I have tried their Lip Cream, and I really like it... It's in between a lipgloss and a lipstick, nicely pigmented, and not sticky at all, very pleasant to wear and smells like a really yummy dessert!

A Soft Brown Eyelook with Givenchy!

This is the first time I have tried Givenchy eyeshadows, and must say I am pleasantly surprised by their quality... They are nicely pigmented, very smooth and blend perfectly... Givenchy Le Prisme Yeux - Quartuor [eyeshadow palette] is in the shade 76 Siena Silhouette, which is great for smokey eyes and that's what I've gone for! On the pics the peachy eyeshadow shade on the bottom left didn't come out too well, but the rest of the colours look pretty true to life...

To create the look, I applied Benefit cream eyeshadow in Busy Signal as a base, and then that peachy shade went mostly into the inner part of the eyelid, blending the chocolate brown through the socket and outer-corner and also smudging it under the lower lashes to create that smoky effect... I wanted to keep everything warm toned this time, so stayed away from black eyeliner and mascara and instead chose bareMinerals Round The Clock Eyeliner in 7pm [a shimmery chocolate brown] smudging it above the upper lash-line and also on the waterline to intensify the look...

Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara in Black Brown is a nice option if you want a softer look... I used this mascara a few times now, it's a bit hard to get off as it is a long-lasting 24 hrs mascara, but I love the dark chocolate brown colour of it and it's the most voluminous and separating mascara I have ever come across... Lipstick - I find Topshop lipsticks to be amazing, the colour range is awesome and the creamy texture is great... The one I'm wearing is the shade Rumour Has It, it's a gorgeous beige nude with very flattering light warm shimmer, this nude has a bit more depth to it and gives you a very sexy lip without having too much or too little colour!

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Busy Signal...

Left: MAC Constructivist... Right: Benefit Busy Signal...

Top: MAC Constructivist... Bottom: Benefit Busy Signal...

When I have to be out of the door in ten minutes this is the fail-proof eye look I go for... Eyes take most time to make up, precise application of an eye liner and thorough blending of the eyeshadows are not a quick job, it requires skill and concentration... But the look that I have been wearing a lot lately, as I have been even busier than usual leaving me with very little spare time for my beloved beauty routine, takes no time and you can apply it as messily as you want and still end up looking well put together... Big Bonus!

Sometimes I even apply it with my fingertips, blending quickly before it sets... Once it does set it doesn't move, very long lasting indeed! You can also use it as a liner... When I was at the Benefit counter I particularly liked the Busy Signal, it's a beautifully bronzy shade... At first I hesitate thinking it might be very similar to my MAC Paint Pot in Constructivist, but I got it anyway... And I'm glad I did as it is very different, Constructivist is a darker and cooler shade and Busy Signal has more gold and warmth to it... Busy Signal is the type of shade that is amazing on blue/grey eyes, it brings the blue out and makes them pop!

Loving Right Now...

I was going to round up October with the things I'm loving right now but I was on a tight schedule, so here they are starting off November, shall we...

First of all, I decided to include a book, a best-seller I got last month and have really enjoyed reading... It's by Daniel Kahneman, a psychologist and winner of 2012 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences... The book is called Thinking, Fast and Slow... It's a fantastic book, but also pretty intense in terms of being densely packed with info, you actually need to think a lot when reading it... But it's not written for scientists, it's still readable and actually pretty fun... I had to take a break half way through though, and friends of mine who also were reading it said it's one of the best books they have ever read but also took breaks... Let me just say that reading Vogue after Thinking, Fast and Slow becomes a totally different experience... Nuff said...

That little beaded Matreshka [aka Russian doll] bracelet I have been wearing non stop through October, you can actually see it in most of my look pics, I got it at River Island for like three quid but I love wearing it with my chunky gold Michael Kors watch, it adds a nice little fun element... Elie Saab, if you read my blog frequently you will know how much I have been enjoying this beautifully sensual fragrance lately, if not check out these features: The Search for the Perfect Fragrance... + Fragrance & Journalism: Each to their Own...

The other two new additions are Deborah Lippmann Forget You glitter nail lacquer, which I have used to create my Halloween inspired nails, you can check it out by clicking here... It's such a fun and festive shade, which is also just perfect for the party season coming up! It's part of the current line and makes a great stocking-filler, if you want to fill up your Christmas stocking with it it's available exclusively at House of Fraser Stores... And the other addition is Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Busy Signal, which is a very pretty chocolate bronze... Makes blue eyes pop! A warm autumnal look coming soon...

And finally two lip products as this is the season for being good to your lips! I have been using Nuxe Nutri-Protecting Lip Care... It's a flattering nude, my lips but better shade - for more info and swatches just click here... And last but by no means least, when I was going through my handbag collection I found Cowshed Lippy Cow Natural Lip Balm... It was a happy occasion as it was gone missing for a while and I had no idea where it was... Some of the ingredients are essential oils of linden blossom, rose geranium and ylang ylang... It doesn't last much on the lips as it's very light and liquid but I am absolutely addicted to the scent and taste, it shoots me right back to the beautiful snowed in Cowshed weekend, the crackling fireplace, the stunning landscape...

Few years ago I stayed at the award-wining Babington House where the Cowshed Spa was at, in Gloucestershire... I had a few great treatments done, my favourite was the mud treatment... The Mud Room is specifically designed for this treatment, I was provided with I think four or five different types of mud, each of them was intended for a specific part of your body, so I got all muddy and sat there drinking water, then it got steamy and the automated shower went on... And then you put on the proper lux heavy hooded-bathrobe and sit in front of the fire having a cup of tea... Uhh heavily! I was left feeling super relaxed after that treatment, not to mention the super smooth baby skin... Anyways on each trip to the Spa I was stocking up on the products, I still have the hand cream, and few of the massaging oils, they all have a lovely natural herbal scent... And that's how I discovered Cowshed...
