Top Five Lipbalms: Nuxe, Bliss, Cowshed, Clarins, Avene!

Hey Beauts! Although I'm a lipstick girl through and through, I do gravitate towards lipbalms during the fall. Lips tend to get dehydrated when it gets really cold and need extra love & care... Going through my lipbalm collection I picked the ones that I enjoy wearing most for one reason or another, but all of them are really lightweight and super moisturising!

Nuxe Nutri-Protecting Lip Care SPF15 in 01 Natural Crystal - a pretty shimmery natural nude lip shade, nourishing, protecting and enhancing lipbalm that tastes of mangos! Comes in other three shades: pink, red, and chocolate.

Bliss Fabulips Softening Lip Balm - it's a clear stick lip balm which I tend to put on while I'm doing my make-up so that by the time I get to my lips they will be nicely moisturised but non-greasy for the lipstick to go on beautifully. The scent is sweet vanilla with a citrus hint.

Cowshed Lippy Cow Natural Lip Balm - also a clear but liquid lip balm, super lightweight. It's an oldie but goodie, out of them all it lasts less but the scent is so delicious that I can't resist from topping it up ever so often. It has essential oils of linden blossom, rose geranium and ylang ylang.

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 04 Petal Shimmer - I believe this is one of the newest shade additions to this lip balm range, available in other five shades, every single one is very pretty and natural. Petal Shimmer is a gorgeous rosy subtle pink. I love wearing these Clarins lipbalm all year round, they are like addictive candy, you want one in every colour! It's beautifying and plumping without that tingling effect. 

And last but by no means least is the Avene Cold Cream Lip Cream - it's a new lip care product that works magic in no time. It heals the most severely dehydrated and chapped lips almost immediately. When my lips are beyond dry I apply a generous coat and leave it for a couple of minute, then simply with a q-tip I make sure to thoroughly rub the dead skin off, et voilà! The rest of the day lips are guaranteed to look beautifully luscious and totally irresistible!

Bliss Clog Dissolving Cleansing Milk!

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday! I had a really relaxing not-doing-much day, just caught up with a friend and we went to watch the I Give It a Year at the cinema... Was rather enjoyable to be reminded that sometimes doesn't matter how hard you try to make a relationship work when you are with the wrong person it just feels enlightening when you finally leave them, and meet the right person that is a joy and true pleasure to be with instead!

Here is another great discovery... I like the idea of versatile skincare products, a product that you can use two ways depending on how much time you have or in what condition your skin is! First I discovered this Bliss de-clogging cleanser when I was watching videos on the Bliss Youtube channel, it's actually great for getting to know their products... Bliss Clog Dissolving Cleansing Milk can be used as a cleanser just washing your face with if you are in a rush or if you have five minutes to spare you can also apply it as a facial... 

I really like it, and the reason is that it's meant to suit all skin types so it's not even specifically designed for combo/oily skin type, which I have, yet I love it on my skin! When I use it as a facial it seems to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores significantly, which makes sense hence it's de-clogging them... At the same time it's keeping the skin nicely hydrated and balanced, which means for us, people with combo/oily skin types it's a bit of a miracle because usually if you get such a cleansing effect the skincare products tend to strip the skin too much making it then over produce oil... Catch 22... Not with this baby! And when I don't have time for a facial I simply use it as a cleanser in place of my regular facial cleanser, and it just leaves my skin feeling fresh!

Bliss Super Minty...

Sunday was such a hot and sticky day in London... Sane people were out and about enjoying the sunshine(!), having BBQs, picnics, you name it... But I voluntarily imprisoned myself in my flat tidying up and sorting stuff out for four hours... It's one of those things you are meaning to do for ages and one day you just have to do it because otherwise hell knows when you'll get around to it... By the end I was so hot and bothered I had to take a lukewarm revitalising bath... It was the perfect time for Bliss Super Minty!

The Super Minty Soapy Suds Body Wash + Bubbling Bath felt really refreshing... On a super hot day that's exactly what you want - to be refreshed... I'd imagine if you have a sunburn this would be really soothing to use in the shower... The Super Minty Body Butter Maximum Moisture Cream is very light and moisturising... The only thing is the scent, obviously it's minty, kind of sweet vanilla mint... It's just a personal thing, I associate mint with chewing gum, mouthwash and Mojito... And so, as all over body moisturiser it's a bit much for me, but I would definitely use it on sensitive skin patches after sun bathing... It's beautifully cooling! All in all perfect for a hot summery day, or a very hot evening for that matter...

Bliss Fabulips...

If you are on a hunt for a lip plumper here is a good one! Bliss is a company I only recently discovered after trying their amazing Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask, talking of which, having a date coming up in a few days it's time to shake that bottle baby! Having full lips, I'm in no need for a lip plumper but after  I was so impressed by that mask I decided to give it a go! Basically the idea behind their beauty products is that you can have a spa-experience at home without going to Bliss Spa... The lip plumper is a creamy gel kind of consistency... It's incredibly cooling on the lips with a tingling sensation... The lip plumper is milky with blue and pink iridescence which the camera doesn't pick up and in real life you have to look real closely to see it at all, so it does come out as clear on your lips... It definitely does what it says on the box!

I'm incredibly excited about this one! When it comes to skincare I am very cautious about every product I choose... I have established a skin care routine that I have been following now for about a year and it works for me...  Sometimes I add something new and watch how my skin reacts... Having a combinational/oily skin type prone to acne, I have to be careful... Especially when it comes to facial masks I have been struggling to find one that would make my skin look great yet wouldn't break me out... Most facials that are not specifically designed for oily skin are highly moisturising, leaving you look like a grease ball next morning... Not this one!

Friday night, we still are enjoying the heatwave in London, I decided to have a little spa evening to myself... It was still hot and so I decided a lukewarm bath with rosemary, chamomile, and rose natural oils would be relaxing yet refreshing at the same time... And so I decided to treat myself with this facial mask, which promises to lift up a dull or tiered looking skin in no time with it's oxygen molecules that are released into your skin, energising and detoxify it! Sound great I thought! The texture of this mask was a complete new technology which I previously never came across... It is engineered as a stand-in for their spa's world famous facial - as it says on the bottle! 

It starts of as a gel, which btw smells divine of fresh citrus and sweet orange blossom... Then you need to massage it into your skin until it starts to froth up [as you can see on the pics] - as soon as the texture becomes lightly foamy you leave it on for five minutes and then wash it off and use toner/moisturiser as you would after any facial... It left my skin feeling as if I had a mini face lift... My skin felt more firm and kind of refreshed... Absolutely no skin oil increase whatsoever... I highly recommend this Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask for any skin type! Amazing product, I have a strong feeling I will be repurchasing this one!
