Bronze Buffer Self-Tan Remover Review!

Hey Beauty Lovers! The Bronze Buffer Self-Tan Remover has now made it to my self-tanning itinerary! As mentioned in the previous blogpost Bronze Buffer is an exfoliating sponge that helps to remove the remaining patches of a self-tanner after it starts to wear off. This enables you to reapply the self-tanner onto smooth skin without caching on the remaining self-tanning patches. However if you have really soft skin make sure to be very gentle with this sponge to avoid irritation. I find it works best after a long soak in the bath, just wet the sponge and very gently go over the patch that needs to be removed by going into one direction. And make sure to really moisturise your skin after exfoliating!

Perfect Sun-Kissed Skin with James Read Tanners!

Available at jamesreadtan.com

James Read BB Gradual Tan for the face that develops into a light but golden complexion. It has a brush applicator so you can tan on the go. The vital skincare ingredients include hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, anti-ageing Co-Enzyme Q10 and cell-renewing Red Algae.

Bronze Buffer Self-Tan Remover comes in a box with two exfoliating sponges.

Hey Beauty Lovers! I'm very excited to share with you the tanning products that I have been introduced at the event tonight! James Read personally showcased his tanning line and I also met the lady behind the Bronze Buffer Self-Tan Remover that goes hand in hand with the self-tanning products. James Read is very passionate about skincare and sexy sun-kissed looking skin, which is exactly what his award-winning tanning products stand for. His tanners are loved by celebrities in UK and US, so much so that they even were featured in the last Vogue US issue [the one with Kim & Kanye on the cover].

There is a wide range of tanning products for face and body to choose from but I'm particularly looking forward to trying the new Sleep Mask Tan, which is a facial skincare product with Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera, Cucumber and Red Algae, which moisturises and soothes the skin overnight, by the time you wake up next morning your skin is plumped up and beautiful tanned.

When it comes to body tanning you always get the first few days of perfectly tanned skin, then the tan starts to subside and the last few days before it completely washes off you are always left with tiny bits of remaining tan so this is where the Bronze Buffer comes in! It's  basically an exfoliating sponge that removes those tanning bits, which I'm also looking forward to try!

New BareMinerals Lasting Line Eyeliner!

Wearing: BareMinerals Lasting Line  Long-Wearing Eyeliner in Absolute Black.

 Top to Bottom:
Absolute Black [matte black], Always Charcoal [matte taupe], Forever Brandy [matte aubergine], Lasting Brown [dark warm brown], Infinite Sage [olive gold], Nonstop Navy [metallic dark blue].

Hey Beauty Lovers! These are the new BareMinerals Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliners that I have been enjoying lately. They come in eight shades six of which I have swatched, all the shades from matt to metallic are very pretty. What I love about the BareMinerals Lasting Line Eyeliner is that they are really long lasting and they glide over the lid easily without being too soft, so you are not going to run out of it as quick as it is usually the case. Another bonus point is the double ended sharpener and smudger, so you don't need an extra brush to create a quick smokey eye.

Bio Sculpture Nailpolish in Neon Pomegranates On Ice!

Hey Beauty Lovers! I think this is the most über-cool hot pink I have ever come across. Bio Sculpture Neon Pomegranates On Ice is a duo-chrome neon pink with a blue/purple sheen, the name couldn't be a better fit! As you know I have discovered Bio Sculpture nailpolishes fairly recently and grown to love them. Although Neon Pomegranates On Ice is more of a sheer texture two coats are more than enough for the perfect finish!

Smashbox The Santigolden Age by Santigold!

Super glossy and pigmented with light staining!

...some pina coladas and some mojitos...

Hey Beauty Lovers! Earlier this week I was invited to the Smashbox event showcasing the new releases and of course the super fun Summer 2014 Collection for which Smashbox has done a collab with the LA artist Santigold aka Santi White. This collection reflects the true hot LA sunshine and Santigold's artistic hipsterness, along with a few delicious summer cocktails the beauty fun begun...

The Santigolden Age Collection consists of Eye Shadow Collage, which is an eyeshadow palette that was inspired by Santigold's distinctive collage art - they can be used wet/dry [shades: Earth As We Know It and Apocalypse Now]. Also part of the collection is the Be Legendary Lip Gloss - they are super shiny [shades: All Gold E'rything and Hot Lava]. Then Double-Ended Limitless Eye Liner in bright popping shades [El Dorado/Azurite Is Never Wrong and Yellow Dwarf/Green Martian]. As well as the Be Legendary Lipstick Ring, which is a statement ring that encapsulates a lip product [shade: Still Kickin'] and Nail Polish Art Strips in Serpent Charmer and Eye of The Beholder.

Both the Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream and the new Smashbox lipglosses caught my attention. I was colour-matched with the shade Light/Medium for the CC Cream, which I was given a sample of to try, so I will let you know soon how I get on with it and what I think. The CC Cream is already out and The Santigolden Age Collection will be available online smashbox.co.uk from 14th May and on counter 28th May 2014. Available from Boots stores nationwide or online boots.com. Now all we need is some sunshine!

On-Trend: Reversed French Manicure!

Nails Inc Old Bond Street + Essie Good As Gold

Hey Beauty Lovers! This week has been predominantly all about nails and if you are a nailjunkie just like me you will love this new look! Reversed French Manicure is one of the current on-trend statement nailart looks. It's all about contrasting two nailpolish colours, I'm obsessed with this look. Dark navy with cool toned gold make a super chic combo. To create this look I have applied two coats of Nails Inc Old Bond Street and then using a thin artist's brush I painted half moons at the base of the nail with Essie Good As Gold. To intensify the gold detail go over it twice. Et voilà!

Nails Inc St Martin's Lane!

Hey Beauty Lovers! I have featured Nails Inc St Martin's Lane when it first came out in the AW13 Collection, but the pretty spring weather has been short-lived here in London so all that rain makes me want to wear dark nails all over. St Martin's Lane is a super chic dark plum, it looks perfect with two coats. The formula is great, really pigmented and shiny.

On-Trend: Fresh Spring Pink Beauty Look!

Topshop Lipstick in Petal + Topshop Waterproof Liner in Gunpowder

Hey Beauty Lovers! This look was inspired by Lisa Eldridge's Graphic Liner Editorial Look. I love the idea of keeping everything within the gentle pink hues creating a light flush of spring over the skin and the eyes, combined with this strong graphic eyeliner. The complexion is kept flawless with a touch of highlighter for that perfect glowy skin with a subtle pink flush over the cheeks. I'm currently loving BareMinerals Ready Blush in The One. On the eyes I applied MAC Paint Pot in Nubile as a primer, then taking the same blush and blending it through the socket. To highlight the brow-bone I used MAC Eyeshadow in Grain. And the pièce de résistance of course is the graphic eyeliner, for which I chose the Topshop Waterproof Liner in Gunpowder, which is a metallic dark grey, it's a great substitute for a harsh black. And on the lips I applied Topshop Lipstick in Petal, which is a wearable retro pastel milky pink.

Easter Inspired Nail Art with Essie!

 Essie Van D'Go

 Essie Lilacism

Essie Mint Candy Apple

Hey Beauty Lovers! Here is a little pastel number for you... Essie Van D'Go, Lilacism and Mint Candy Apple are the three classic pastel nailpolish shades with a cream finish that spring to mind when I think of Easter. This nailart look is great for beginners as it is super easy to recreate and doesn't need to be perfect to look cute. To create this look I applied two coats of Essie Van D'Go, which is a flattering peach tone. Then with a fine artist brush I simply painted on two lines of zig-zags with Essie Lilacism leaving a gap for the Mint Candy Apple dots, which you can use the same brush for or a nailart dotting tool if you have one. This nailart look can be worn outside of Easter if you substitute the colours, try some contrasting bright colours or neons for a fun summery nail look!

OnePiece Smooch Onesie!!

OnePiece Smooch Onesie in Calypso Coral, it also comes in other colours
- available at onepiece.co.uk

Hey Beauty Lovers! Ok, first a confession to be made... I never thought I would praise a onesie, ever. Who knew a onesie could be so super comfortable and yet look so super cute!! If you ever thought onesies are not quite your thing, not really your style, and not really within your comfort zone I beg you to give this one a go! Classically known as an oversized all-in-one outfit to be enjoyed at home, however now onesies come also in a perfect fit! I discovered these amazing Smooch Onesies on OnePiece website [link above]. When I first slipped on the Smooch Onesie it just felt like second skin, I had no idea how incredibly comfortable it is, not to mention the super soft and scrumptious feeling fabric [48% rayon, 48% cotton, 4% spandex]. Smooch Onesie is perfect if you just want a girly pampering evening to yourself, I know I will have one or two this Easter weekend!

Lush Easter Treats!

Hey Beauty Lovers! Last year I have reviewed the Lush Fluffy Egg for the Easter and this year it's available again! Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb is a pink egg fragranced with Candy Fluff, which is a lovely sweet candy scent. For the full review and more images click here(!) to see the blogpost I wrote last year. Apart from enjoying the Fluff Egg this Easter again I am also loving the Bunny Bath Bomb and Carrot Soap! As you can see I have a dish that is dedicated purely to Lush products, I love keeping Lush soaps and what have you displayed in a dish, which fills the bathroom with a beautiful scent!

Bunny Bubble Bar is new Limited Edition product, inspired by the White Rabbit in Alice Wonderland. The cute Bunny is full of rich oils and butters, which are super moisturising and conditioning leaving the skin super soft after the bath! It's scented with vanilla absolute and once the Bunny melts in the water it releases floating pretty blue cornflowers! The Carrot Soap has two parts, the orange is made with moisturising carrot seed oil, while the white leaping rabbit in the middle is the conditioning cocoa butter. The scent of the Carrot Soap is refreshingly tropical and super yummy, lingering buchu, lemon and bergamot essential oils.

Sally Hansen Nail Treatment for Weak Nails!

Wearing Nails Inc in St Martin's Lane [two coats] + Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Topcoat

Hey Beauty Lovers! I've been on a bit of a nail escapade in the past month or so, as you know my nails suddenly started breaking/splitting and so I was trying a couple of nail strengthening treatment products, which sort of made things worse... Ages ago I have read somewhere that the health of your nails depends on the health of your cuticles. And lets face it even if purely aesthetically, it doesn't matter how immaculate the nailpolish is applied if the cuticles are not in a good condition the manicure will just look awful!

When nothing else seems to work Sally Hansen counter is always the right place to turn to. So to get strong and healthy nails basically there are two things you need: a good base + a cuticle treatment. Of course make sure the quality of your nailpolish is good and a good topcoat provides an extra layer, which makes the nailpolish last longer and is less likely to chip, which is something to be avoided - every time a nailpolish chips there is a chance it will chip with your nail, making them more likely to split and get weaker!

If you check out the previous blogpost you will see a massive difference in how my cuticles looked before and after just one application of the Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail & Cuticle Oil. It has Wheat Germ, Apricot Kernel, Aloe & Panthenol, which intensely moisturises and conditions, preventing dry brittle nails. There is nothing better than having neat and nourished looking cuticles!

In the picture above I am also wearing the Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails, which is a strengthening base-coat that you need to apply 2-3 times before applying a nailpolish. I find two coats are more than enough as it really does harden the nails, it has Nylon and Retinol in it that also helps to smooth the ridges. I used to use this base-coat ages ago and it really does work so it's already tested and approved! If you have troubles with your nails, definitely give these a go!

Spring Stripes Nailart with BarryM!

 Blueberry + Lychee

from L to R:
BarryM Gelly Nailpolish in Blueberry + Lychee, BarryM Matte Nailpolish in Vanilla

Hey Beauty Lovers! Here is a good way of updating your mani without needing to take off nailpolish and paint your nails all over again. As you have seen in my Friday's post I was wearing BarryM Matte nailpolish in Vanilla with a glossy topcoat. To update the look I applied two pastel nailpolishes with a fine artists brush creating overlaid stripes. First I applied short strokes of BarryM Gelly Nailpolish in Blueberry, then offsetting the stripes I applied Lychee from the same nailpolish range repeating the whole process. To create depth I went over with opposite colours applying ever shorter strokes over the top of the original stripes. And then of course to make your fresh mani last longer finish with a topcoat!
