Gift Guide 2012: Plumy & Gold Christmas Party Look with Big Lashes!

I am super excited to share the Smashbox Studio Pop Eye Palette, it is such a super fun palette!! Perfect as a gift to someone who loves meke-up... Starting with the very festive white and red packaging, it opens like a book with magnets holding it strongly closed, also perfect for travelling, has a big size mirror and even eye look suggestions taking them from easy to advanced, so you can improve your make-up skills and learn make-up artist techniques and try something new... L-o-v-e! Now that's just the beginning, the eyeshadows themselves are a-mazing! High pigmentation and very beautiful eye-popping shades...

The shades must have been chosen for all eye colours as the palette has some purples, greens, and browns! There are also couple of shades that remind me of some of my favourite classic MAC eyeshadows, it's a mixture of matte, shimmery and metallic colours, all very very beautiful... The reason I am so excited is because I haven't tried Smashbox eyeshadows before and I was amazed by the quality, always loving to discover something stunning... This palette has 16 eyeshadows and 4 eyeliners, located at the bottom: a bronze, purple, dark blue, and a glittery black...

The look I went for is full-on, but I wanted to have some fun as there are lots of Christmas Parties happening right now! I applied 24K [a gold shade] to the inner part of the eye lid, and then Amethyst [a shimmery plummy shade] to the outer lid and also under the lower lash line... Then I lined the upper lash line with Royal [dark purple eyeliner], and used a black kohl liner on my waterline to intensify the look... And of course no Christmas Party is a Christmas Party without some big lashes! I adore this Ardell Fashion Lashes Starter Kit, they are a perfect fit for me, I don't even need to trim them! They create this full-lash doll eyes look, love them!

    1. Thanks Wendy! I only can get away with very minimal make up when I am super tanned, which doesn't happen very often.. :) xx
