YSL Beauty Summer 2012 Collection...

Here are some of my favourite pieces from the YSL Summer 2012 Collection... It's inspired by a chic and sexy, yet sophisticated swimming pool scenario... Makes me think of that scene in SATC when Samantha meets Richard by the pool for a late night skinny dip... I am a little late with this collection, it launched back in June, and it only will be out until the end of August or until stocks last...

So before it goes I finally picked up this palette that I have been eyeing, YSL Pure Chromatics 4 Wet & Dry Eye Shadows in 8... There is also a beautiful palette which I was considering getting but it is a little too summery for now so I went with this one... Uhh it's a beauty! The two top colours are more satin and the bottom two are more glittery.. The glitter is amazing, and that is coming from someone who generally tries to stay away from glitter! When it's YSL glitter it's a totally different spectrum... The colours I am wearing in the pics are the bronze, the olive green, and the cream... Talking of cream, these eyeshadows can be worn dry or wet... I wore them dry and they started off pretty sheer but they are pretty build-able... When applied wet they are supposed to be even more intense, can't wait to try that!

The coloured mascaras were happening in the 80s big time... But now they are coming back! I will soon do a summer look wearing the YSL Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils in Majorelle Blue, a beautiful ultramarine... It's waterproof and perfect for some pool-splash action... As for the lip products I am loving the YSL Rouge Pur Couture in 42 Rose Lyrique, a plummy shade with subtle gold shimmer running through, very chic... This lipstick is beautifully pigmented, feels very smooth and moisturising...

And the YSL Golden Gloss is fabulous too! The shimmering lip gloss is not sticky at all, feels beautiful on, and looks just stunning... I chose two shades Golden Pebble, which is the plummy shade to wear either over the Rose Lyrique for a vamp lip or simply on its own... And the lighter colour is Golden Sand, which is beautiful for a nude lip, it makes your lips look wet and luscious... I will be creating a couple of looks wearing more of these stunning beauties but for now I just wanted to share my love for these items while they are still available... A late discovery for me, but certainly a beautiful one!
