Autumn 2013 Collection: Chanel Les 4 Ombres 43 Mystere!

Chanel Les 4 Ombres in 43 Mystere

Hey Beauties! Here is another treat from Chanel Autumn 2013 Collection which I really love. As I mentioned in my previous blogpost featuring the super chic Chanel Nail Colour 601 Mysterious this collection is all about grey tones, which this Les 4 Ombres 43 Mystere palette reflects. It is a rare occasion for me to use all four eyeshadow shades from one palette, it usually is either two or three at max. But all of the four eyeshadows from this palette sit beautifully together. The top left is a sheer black with gold sparkles, top right is a warm satin off white also with gold sparkles, on the bottom left there is a beautiful shimmery almost metallic looking taupy grey also with sparkles, and on the bottom right there is a very pigmented satin greyish brown, which seems to be the least sparkling out of the four but it isn't matte, there is definitely a pretty sheen to it.

Mystere is decadent yet playful, all the beautiful sparkles add an element of glamour to the sophisticated colour palette. So naturally I went for a smokey eye. Here is how I created this Bombshell Brigitte Bardot inspired look: Firstly I applied MAC Paint Pot in Nubile as a base, then all over the lid I applied the bottom left taupy colour, over which in the socket and outer corner I blended in the top left colour which is the sparkly black, taking it under the lower lashes. For extra depth I also blended in a touch of the very pigmented bottom right colour, which is the last sparkling brown shade, also blending it with the back under the lower lashes. This added that warm decadence to the look. And to finish off I took the top right colour, which is the lightest shade, and applied it as a highlight under the brow. And of course no Bombshell look is finished without a pair of fake lashes!
