On Trend: Super Highlighted Look with Pixi Early Bird Palette!

Topshop Lips in Charmed...

Pixi Early Bird Palette...

And here is the look I created with the Pixi Early Bird Palette that I reviewed last week... To read the full review of this palette click here! As I have mentioned before, one of the beauty trends this spring is the highlighted skin and generally very glowy make-up giving that fresh and radiant look... So here is what I did... Firstly I used the three gold eyeshadows on the left second column, applying them over MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork, which made the eyeshadows deposit the pigment much better! The middle colour went onto the entire lid, the darkest in the outer-corner and the crease, and the lightest I used as a highlight on the brow-bone... Of course for a super natural look you'd leave the black eyeliner out, I am just too pale right now to do that...

Then I used the darkest bronzer to contour my face, blending through a little bit of the lighter bronzer, which has more shimmer in it to create that glowy warmth, and then I used the highlighter more than I'd usually do hence you can see it with the flash, generally I wouldn't advise to highlight too much if you know you will be photographed as it reflects the flash and gives you that very obvious patch of glow... And then I also used the blushes which I am totally in love with... I applied the peach top shade where I'd usually apply my blush and then on the apple of the cheek I applied a touch of the pink blush, that gives you that extra bit of freshness! Perfect palette for this spring...

And on the lips I used the Topshop Lipstick in Charmed, which is just a super cute shade and is perfect for this type of look... Charmed looks a lot brighter in the bullet than it is when it's swatched... It's a retro pale orange, so it's not a super bright lipstick that would take the focus off from the glowy face look but at the same time you need a little bit of colour to avoid looking washed out... Et voilĂ !
