Eyeliners [2 colours out of 11]: Calm and Fantasy...

Eyeshadows [2 colours out of 6]: Intuitive and Success...

30 colours of lip & eye products to choose from...

we celebrated the launch with a glass of bubbles...

my 3 picks(!): first - Calm, second - Fantasy, third - Intuitive...

swatches left to right:
Intuitive Liquid Eyeshadow [metallic olive green], Calm Liquid Eyeliner [turquoise], Fantasy Liquid Eyeliner [metallic gold with fine glitter]...

...luscious Liquid Lips...

the Liquid Lips come in really gorgeous unique super pigmented colours,
they are so pigmented that they left a slight stain...
here I have picked 3 colours that stood out most from all of the lip colours...
Strong[red with a slight iridescence], Passionate [hot pink with blue iridescence], and Decisive [coral orange]...
Lips or eyes they got pretty cool colours for the current bright trend...

aside of fun bright colours they also have more natural colours in the collection... here I am wearing just Lush Sophisticated eyeshadow with a black eyeliner smudged out...
it's a beautiful taupy colour... texture is very creamy and smooth...

One day to go! Tomorrow, Lush is launching their new hand-made cosmetics line the Emotional Brilliance... And so today I went to the pre-launch little party at my local Lush shop where we had a demo of the fun new cosmetics coming out! I was told  Lush creators were working on this line for the past three years... A lot of work went into this line, the research of how colours and words affect us psychologically is the main idea behind it... This line consists of 30 products: 11 Liquid Eyeliners [two of the eyeliners Independent (black), and Fantasy (gold) are smudge proof and dry instantly after you apply them, the rest of the eyeliners you can smudge and work with but they are still long lasting], 6 Cream Eyeshadows, and 13 Liquid Lips... I was also told that these products are the most pigmented that are currently out on the beauty market...

If you have ever wondered why you are attracted to a particular colour and what it says about your psychological state now you can find out... Lush Co-Founder and Inventor of Emotional Brilliance Rowena Bird explains: "I love lipstick, but why wasn't one great colour ever enough, why was I drawn to a particular one on different days or even sometimes feel the need to change colour part way through a day? After chatting with like minded lipstick junkies, it struck us that it wasn't about what clothes we were wearing but more about how we were feeling and so the idea was born."

You may think that the colour wheel is a bit gimmicky at first, but I was genuinely impressed with that little psychological experiment we did... After a glass of sparkling wine I was ready to spin the wheel... You get asked to close your eyes and try to relax and take your mind of anything around you and when you open them you need to pick three colours that you feel most attracted to at that very moment, they should not make sense or be matched to your clothing... And then you get a little shrink session, and they explain that the first colour you picked means - your Strength or Weakness; second - Subconscious Need, and third - Talent... The colours I picked screamed my name at that moment: my first choice was - Calm, second - Fantasy, and third - Intuitive...

I'm not going to go into details of the psychological meaning of the colours I picked other than saying - lately I'm pretty chilled out no matter what, I think I had so much stress in the last year and in the beginning of this year that I must have developed some sort of immune system against stress... And the rest was pretty accurate too, so I was actually quite amazed... It's not magic, it just shows how much research went into this, which is what makes this make-up line so interesting! So I'd say give it a go and spin the wheel...
